From Service Roots to Deepwater Operator
A decade of capability-building, culminating in two world-class deepwater licences and a development program designed for responsible growth.
2015 — Foundation
Applefield Oil & Gas Limited incorporated in Nigeria as an oilfield services and logistics provider, focused on drilling support, marine logistics, and environmental management.
2018 — Expanding Expertise:
The company expanded technical capabilities across the oil & gas value chain, building a reliable network in the Nigerian energy sector.
2020 — Positioning for Growth
Strategic shift towards vertical integration into upstream operations marked the start of Applefield’s E&P ambitions.
2024 — Deepwater Awards
Applefield was awarded PPL 2005 & PPL 3017 in the NUPRC licensing round, establishing a deepwater platform of c.1,887 sq. km.
2025 — Project Preparation
Seismic re-acquisition and development planning initiated, with FEED and technical partner engagements underway.
2026–2028 — Field Development
Execution of exploration & appraisal drilling, subsea and FPSO construction, ESIA and host community programs.
2029 — First Oil Target
Targeted first oil and plateau production at approximately 140,000 bopd across both developments.
Future — Scaling for Africa
Plans to expand operating footprint across Africa’s frontier basins and lead on low-carbon solutions.
